President Mahama Leads Wreath-Laying at Historic New York Monument 🇬🇭

Former President John Dramani Mahama has honored the memory of enslaved Africans by leading a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the African Burial Ground National Monument in Lower Manhattan, New York. The event took place on March 24, 2026, on the eve of the International Day of Remembrance for Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade

“We lay down this wreath to honour the memories of the nearly 20,000 Africans who are buried on these grounds, some of whom were free but most of whom were enslaved.”

The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental. To an English person, it will seem like simplified English, as a skeptical Cambridge friend of mine told me what Occidental is. The European languages are members of the same family. Their separate existence is a myth. To achieve this, it would be necessary to have uniform grammar, pronunciation and more common words.
